I have been writing,
recording and performing my music and the music of others either
professionally or semi-professionally for the past 20 years. I've
recently worked freelance as a songwriter and performer for MUSICAL
MEDIA FOR EDUCATION, and for SMOKEOUT
PRODUCTIONS, both of
Ulster County, New York. To hear samples of my own compositions and
production, please go to the DOWNLOAD
mp3s page. Of course,
you can order my fabulous debut CD "MIXED
MESSAGES", or the new
one, "EMOTIONAL
TRAVELOGUE", or inquire by e-mail regarding my services as
songwriter- and performer-for-hire.
My tastes, both in the
music I listen to and in my own music, range from rock to blues to
jazz, and basically anything I can get my hands on. I have a
particular affinity for Robert Wyatt and Nick Drake, and, if I'm
lucky, share some of that sense of frailty and intimacy. You tell
me.
If anything can be gleaned from a resume, here are some
of my past involvements: I was a founding member in Pittsburgh, PA,
of the eclectic funk-rock-country band ATS; and the chamber-jazz
outfit that came to be called the Water Shed 5tet (I released a
single with each of the above two); and the seminal hardcore punk
band Real Enemy (whose only 1983 cassette release "Life With the
Enemy" is slated for special web-only release ... details to follow
as they become available), with members of Half Life. In New York
City in the mid-90's, I was a member of Slambook, also releasing one
single. I later appeared, as saxophonist, on the ATS CD SEPCO.
